2016 annual meeting of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Molecular Medicine Mycology Successfully Held

On September 29, 2016, annual meeting of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Molecular Medicine Mycology was held in Shanghai Changzheng Hospital. The meeting was chaired by academician Chen Hongduo, member of the academic committee. The director of the laboratory, academician Liao Wanqing, reported on the work progress, research achievements and development plan of key laboratories during 2015.10-2016.09. Under the leadership and support of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission and the Changzheng Hospital, our laboratory has made a number of achievements and highlights in this year. The experts discussed and appraised the work of the laboratory in scientific research, personnel training and platform construction in 2016, and fully affirmed and highly appraised the achievements.

According to the current research results and development trends of the laboratory, the academic committee agreed that the future research direction of the laboratory will mainly focus on the surveillance and evolution of drug resistance of pathogenic fungi in China, molecular and cellular mechanisms of pathogenic fungi and host interactions, and early molecular diagnosis of invasive fungal infection and so on, and hope that the laboratory will seize the existing development opportunity, give full play to its advantages, and highlight its characteristics and achieve greater achievements.
